About Lori Leigh Wilson

I am a mom of 3 beautiful children, a (mostly) vegan, a voice over actress and a lover of all things health and nutrition.

I have a university degree in English and Drama from the University of Western Ontario and I have worked in television, radio and public relations.

I now focus most of my time on my family, my voice career and learning all I can about holistic health.

My greatest achievement to date – getting all 3 kids to drink their green smoothies each morning!

  1. Hey Lori! You liked a post on my blog, so I thought I’d check out your blog and say, “Hi.” I like your blog, and congrats on getting all of your kiddos to drink green smoothies. My husband is an actor, so I was curious about your voice-over demo. I listened to it, and you’re awesome! If I ever publish my book, maybe you can do the audio version for me. Thanks for stopping by my blog – hope you stop by again soon! Celeste

  2. Hey! Cool blog here! Although we have the voice-over thing in common, I’m afraid I’m not quite as healthy in the diet department as you. I’m not exactly UN-healthy, but …. Thanks for liking my post about voice-over performances and correct pronunciation.

  3. The whole plant-based diet is still new for me, and I’m certainly not perfect. So you’re not perfect either, so what! We’re both trying to be healthier for our families and ourselves, so I applaud us!

  4. Hey Lori! So glad I found your blog – I was hooked from the first post when I saw your homemade almond butter and raw tomato sauce – they both look pretty amaing! I’m going to continue reading through everything but just thought I’d say hi and tell you that your blog looks great 🙂

  5. Thanks for reading my blog Lori. I’m excited to read more of yours. I love “trying” to be healthy. I’m gluten free due to allergies for 11 years now but cooking is not my thing! Maybe you can adopt me so I can have green smoothies daily? Hey we can even share our Home Voiceover studio and all the pesky editing takes! 😉

  6. Thanks for visit! You have a great blog and although I am far from being vegan, I do like to dabble in vegan dishes every now and then. Will definitely try out some of your yummy recipes!

  7. Hi Lori. Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for popping into my blog and liking one of my posts. I’m loving what I’ve read of your blog so far! Will enjoy reading more.

  8. Hi Lori,
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Wrestling Pollyanna, and liking my post.
Your site is GREAT! I used to be as focussed on healthy eating as you are. I think your blog may just be the inspiration I need to get back on track.
…voice-over actress – Cool! I’ve always thought that would be so fun.

  9. Thanks so much for stopping by and liking my post!! Wow, am I glad you did–love your blog!! We are vegetarian (mostly) too–my kids’ choice–they’re 6 and 9. Am trying your black bean burritos ASAP! Love your posts and can’t wait to read more!

  10. Thanks for stopping by my Blog Lori Leigh. It’s so nice to find like minded people who share a passion for “mostly” vegan/plant-based. I smiled when I saw your note about your 3 kids drinking green smoothies 😉 Love it!!

  11. Hi there, Lori. Thought I’d introduce myself as I’m also on Roger’s roster. 🙂 (I’ve been with him about … hmm… I want to say 3 years now, but it could be longer…) I’m also a plant-based foodie of sorts. Well. In so much as I know who Meghan Telpner is :D, have read her blog and even went to one of her smoothies and juices classes downtown. I’ve been (mostly – I still do eat fish on occasion) vegan for about a year and a half now so it’s an interesting journey – and one I initially took in order to improve my health so that I would interrupt my voice over schedule less (a purpose I’m sure you’re right on board with for yourself!). Anyway, I read your guest post on Roger’s blog and headed over here to take a read through – and really loved your writing. Lots of great issues and recipes. I’ve got you in my RSS feed and will definitely be back! 🙂 All the very best, — Jodi

    1. That is awesome – I am so happy that you accepted the award and thanks for the appreciation! This has been one of the most unexpected and wonderful thing about starting a blog- the fellow bloggers who have reached out to connect, teach and inspire me. I love Celeste too. She is so thoughtful and open to sharing. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could all meet someday? Maybe at a blogger conference? Thanks again! And I love the earth angel nickname ; ) I’ve never been called that before!

      1. Hi Lori, What a day. The response to this award has been overwhelming & I have you to thank!!! I am receiving the sweetest comments, lots of new follows and HEAVY traffic. 13. Hi Lori,

Thanks for liking my first post on wordpress! I just wanted to check out your blog and your green smoothies are something I want to try. I don’t have a Vitamix and have been thinking about tryin green smoothies ever since I gained so much weight with my pregnancies so I’ll have to try some of your recipes! Happy blogging!

    1. Welcome to the world of blogging! I just started myself in January and I’ve found the community of support from fellow bloggers to be invaluable.
I adore my Vitamix but it’s a big purchase. So worth it when you are ready.
Happy blogging to you too ; )

  14. Lori,

Thanks for checking out my blog. I’ve read through several of your recent posts and find them, collectively, to be an interesting and eclectic mix. Lots of variety; all refreshing. Looking forward to following your culinary and life adventures.

  15. You don’t do Marg Simpson voice overs, do you? Just wondering an got to thinking she’d be the only person I know that could get 3 kids to drink their green smoothies each morning!

    Love your style! 😉
